Concur Drive = Requests for Mobile Phone reimbursement?

I have a Conundrum and need your Help!

We don't reimburse for Mobile Phone usage. We are looking at implementing Concur Drive as the standard company wide mileage reimbursment tool.

As such, we have employees requesting Mobile Phone reimbursement as their device is now being used to track their Mileage.

Have you ran into this request/issue? If so, what did you do? Any other Concur Drive issues like this come up for you?

Thanks in advance

Hi David - totally get where you are coming from here.
The group of employees we want to roll out Drive to, would also charge for the time it took to manually record their reimbursement reports for mileage and time spent recording their 'paid tasks'. In our initial discussions one of the initial questions we posed to Motus was how much Mb is this taking up on a mobile phone? - the answer - almost neglible because it is using GPS not data. As for people wanting phone reimbursement - we took a hard line. It's 2018 not 2008 and if you wish to claim your phone, do so upon the advice of a tax agent as part of your personal tax return. We copped the same queries when we rolled out TripitPRO - "can I claim data usage for using this app?"
This despite the fact that the organization was fully subsidising a $49 USD per year product for them!

Cheers

Brilliant! Thank you Richard.

We don't think it will be a hard sell with any millienals and the easy of use is in their best interest. At the end of the day, we aren't making Concur Drive required so they don't have to do so per se.

Thank you again!
