This flight cannot be combined error message

I am trying to book a round trip flight. The only non-stop departing flight is on American. The sole non-stop return flight is on Southwest. I am unable to select the latter because I see the message "This flight cannot be combined". How do I book these 2 flights? Do I need to book each leg separately?

@psockolow yes, you need to book them separately. Southwest does their own thing and you cannot combine them with another airline on the same booking.
