Hotel cancellation was not forwarded

I cancelled a hotel booking through Concur but the hotel did not receive the cancellation and charged the booking.

Concur confirmed the cancellation but the hotel never received it.

So there was no trip and there are no receipts but 300€ were charged to my company credit card.

How could this situation be solved?

@MSeitz if this were me, I would try the following:

1. Contact the hotel and see if they can reverse the charge. 

2. If the hotel will not reverse it, contact your card issuer and dispute the charge. 

 

Your Travel Agency should have a record of the cancelation, so you could provide that to the hotel and/or the card issuer as proof.
