Concur user date import with 305 record type in batch not working

Hi,

We are about to implement SAP Concur. Since six month we try to get work the user data import with record type 305 in the batch process.

If we upload the file as admin to Concur and Concur runs the import immediately to database, the file will upload successfully.

But as soon we do the file transfer – automated via SFTP + PGP for the overnight processing. The same file will return with error because of special character.

We get the error message: Field first_name contained one or more invalid characters. The record was processed but not imported.

We do the file transfer with SAP PI/PO. We can control all steps from creating the file, transfer the file to SAP PI/PO to the IN-Box of the concur file transfer server. But we do not have control or logs of the process in SAP Concur internal.

The first month we tried to get support from the implementation partner we work with. But this recommended Partner from SAP Concur does not have any clue or idea. Because of this special Implementation work form SAP Concur with implementation partner, we do not get any direct support from Concur. Maybe Concur don't have a specialist who can tackle the problem with us.

But perhaps someone from this group knows this problem, has solved it and can give us a tip how we can solve the problem too. That would be great.

Thank you for your attention.

Does the file give you want record?   Are you able to view the file from the partner so that you can see what the special character is?   Concur Import support should be able to assist if you start a case.

Hi ClaudiaF,

Did you use SAP PI/PO to generate the 305 csv file? Like you have XSD for the 137 fields/columns and use that XSD in SAP PI/PO to generate the 305 csv file.

Thanks,

 Francis

Hi Francis

Yes we did the 305er XSD in SAP PI/PO to generate the file.

There is no solution with standard SAP mapping. Now , we do have to create a special java-mapping with BOM. It is noch available in SAP PI/PO standard.

Kind regards

Claudia

Hi ClaudiaF,

Thanks a lot for your reply.

May we know where you got the 305er XSD?

Or did you create it by hand yourselves?

Kind regards,

 Francis
