Admin Responsibilities Matrix

Hello fellow Concur admins,

After attending Concur Fusion in NYC this month, I realized I need help in fully exploiting the power of the Concur platform. I'm hoping to create a matrix for my organization which will show the various administrative functions and the responsible parties/groups for each. The goal of the exercise is to not only clearly identify roles and responsibilities, but also to identify gaps.

Have any of you done something similar in your organization that you'd be willing to share?

I'm thinking something like this:

  • User administration > AP manager
  • Special user permissions > IT admin #1
  • Configuration changes
    • Audit rules > IT admin #2
    • List management > IT admin #1
    • Travel policy > TMC
  • End user assistance > Business admin #1

Thank you for sharing your thoughts/suggestions!

Michele

Hello,

Unfortunately, in our organization, we do not have that many people on the team to split out roles as much as we would like. Most of our team members wear multiple hats.

Here is what we have:

Full Administrators
Sub-Administrators
Processor Managers
Processors
Bill Statement Processor Manager/User Admin
Cash Advance Administrators
CBS Administrators
CBS Processors
Auditors

We tend to have the following breakdown in our global organizations.

1 Site System Admin

Regional Travel Admins (3 in our case) to monitor the queues for Trips that need to be approved

Expense Processors on a regional/country basis to review all expense reports before final processing into Financial System

Several Expense Processors View Only Users
